This piece features 16 ceramic faces cut off below the eyes, mounted in a grid. Crafted from various clays to represent the mixing of identities, some faces are filled with Chinese red pockets, while others contain Jamaican coffee beans to represent the artist’s sensory connections to identity and belonging—the coffee smell reminds her of her hometown in Kingston, Jamaica and the sight and touch of red pockets represents her Chinese heritage. app tailored for young adults aiding in navigating common life stressors. Our goal was to gain insights into young adults' stress management strategies and determine how a mobile app could enhance their routines. Based on user insights, we incorporated features such as a 'goal of the day,' an optional view for certain questions, a journal/planner, a habit tracker, and an alarm/timer. Further design refinements included adding scales, charts, and checkboxes. From this project, I learned maintaining healthy mental, physical, and emotional health are crucial for self-care.
